ANCE English courses are accredited by NEAS,
the peak regulatory body for English Language colleges in Australia.
Our teachers and curriculum are also accredited and maintain the high
standards required by NEAS. Because we use internationally recognised
teaching materials and contemporary teaching methods, you can be sure that
your studies with ANCE will be recognised around the world.

The general English levels at ANCE concentrates on learning suitable grammar and vocabulary, and builds up skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. We use up-to-date textbooks and resources which are relevant to practicing English in the real world.
Our carefully designed General English program comprises of 4 levels of proficiency. Each level takes on average 15 weeks to complete. The levels are:
Assessments are conducted every 5 weeks, so you can see your progress. Teachers will work with you to help improve areas where you are not as confident. When you reach proficiency in a level, you can be promoted to the next level.
You can also choose to do our IELTS Preparation course. This 10-week course will help prepare you for the IELTS test with intensive small group study and exam practice.
Our experienced staff will tutor you in study & exam methods and give you valuable feedback on how to improve your English skills. This flexible class can be taken in either full time or part time mode. You can study for either General or Academic English and can be done in conjunction with Certificate or Diploma studies at ANIBT.
English at ANCE will prepare you for your future studies with ANIBT in Commercial Cookery, Patisserie, Hospitality, Hotel Operations, Business Leadership or Management.
You can also progress to a number of our other partner institutions (La Trobe University, Box Hill Institute, Holmesglen Institute) to fulfil your dream career. Our experienced academic staff can work with you to plan your learning to allow you to move forward to further studies.
ANCE’s class timetable is designed to allow you 5 hours study per day.
Monday to Thursday from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm.
Coffee/tea break: 10:45 am to 11:00 am | Lunch break: 12:45 pm to 1:30 pm.
This allows you the afternoons, evenings, Fridays and weekends to work or to enjoy the life of Melbourne.
Australian student visa holders are required to study English for 20 hours per week.
